Have a couple of friends doing stuf like that. They-re both good mountain climbers and quite cold blooded. Shit like that happens because of the wind. Sometimes things just snap. Usually they get real drunk after something like this and laugh their asses. Then start over. I remember them being stuck at 400m and a bloody rain and thunders started. And did not have a platform. Pretty scared when they got off, but they came drunk at my door laughing.
