Parkour is an international sport, also called Freerun. This is one of the best video's (not talking about the how its recorded because its crappy) of parkour I know of. :D

Most ppl in the parkour sport are the world top Skaters and the world top Gymnasts. In both Moskow and NY are two big parkour schools, with special soft building situations where you can practise. The sport is risky, but when mastered it gives the ultimate feeling of freedom, because nothing can stop you from going wherever you want, you can climb up almost every building and jump down from enourmous heights.
If you want to master this sport it is advisable to start with normal body and condition training (not bodybuilding, you have to make your body strong but NOT heavy, so you need small strong muscles. Pushups are good, and standing on your hands and stuff too) , climbing trees very fast and running/skating over objects really fast.
Its not an easy sport, but everyone in normal condition can train and achieve this.

There are some great sporting or mciahnces style gloves with good grip and dexterity available in local stores like WalMart and HomeDepot. These are often in the $4-$20 range depending on the style you choose. You could also get some online for great prices as well. A new site with some $0.99 work gloves is safetyclearance.com . On that site, I'd recommend trying the foam coated nitrile that has good grip, breathability, and dexterity. If you want cut resistance, there are some good coated Kevlar gloves as well at below market prices. There are other sites as well with good products for what you need. Ken Armstrong

I agree parkour is ctlopemely cool and safe (if exercised properly)! its a great sport. now I'm a girl and I've never done parkour but I've watched it on youtube and I've seen some guys practicing at the park, they were really good and they didn't get hurt. I've attempted a little tiny bit on my own and its a lot of fun and practical for self defense and stuff. Good luck be safe
