Man...valve's got some great stuff under it. Half-Life, CS, DOD, many other things....and now this....just amazing. Better get a good graphics card.

Looks pretty cool, but maybe it was the video but the graphics don't look that good... I still think they should keep working on making things look better, alhtough HL2 was HUGE as far as looks go. They also had that level comeout by the ocean that was the improved graphics version that was just amazing. The game seems a little bit "canned" if you know what I mean, like, HOW MUCH FUN can you have with portals... but still, looks good. Oh, and I've been waiting for TF2 for 8 years now or something... my god

First off, I love the trailer. I will be first in line (or online) to get it. But, because I think of things a little too much, it makes my brain hurt. Like that one part: He shoots the portal, jumps down, makes another portal, goes though it, comes out the other portal, shoots another portal, goes back through the portal, and comes out the portal with the, and, GAH! It hurts my head worse than time travel.

i downloaded the video the minute i knew it was coming out through steam and ive got almost every game that valve has made so far and this is going to amazing game if you guys play half life 2 the might know garys mod well on his page he says that he took a look at the people working portal at the moment and it look amazing!!!!

Theres already a mini lua mod for this in garry's mod, but this appears to be the "training facility" like in HL1 where you were shown the ropes of the game, but this looks more like a puzzle type game which are so much more fun than regular shooters. you can get a high-def version of the trailer through steam free.

Someone asked how much fun you can have with portals. That person is an idiot, who evidently didn't watch the video. Admittedly the idea is deceptively simple, but if you can count on anyone to think outside the box with a simple idea, it's Valve. Rumours of technology like this finding its way into a Half-Life game. Portal is set in the 'Half-Life universe', after all.
