Chainsaw should be number 2. Number 1 is the shrinking gun from Duke Nukem 3D. Maybe the gravity gun comes third. :D

Or maybe the suiciding sheep weapon from Worms 2 should be in the lead. :D

Interesting video by GT. Gravity gun on 1 of course, but it only deserves that position because its upgradable. The gun gets even cooler in HL2:Ep1, where it's needed even more for solving puzzles and because you can convert and shoot the intelligent mine things with it. I'm not really an FPS player though. The coolest thing ever is still the upcoming Portal-gun from Valve, but thats more a tool than a weapon.
