I don't think its a , the bird isn't really flying that fast, btw it looks like a bat and their flight patterns look like that. If you listen for it you can hear people cheering near the end and their voices don't sound distored. 200 mph is not impossible, if you check out the website you'll find a team that has already broken it.

You know the "bird" in the end is really a buterfly of some sort or another insect becaurse you can se it fly inside of the wall, where the car is driving

That is a tethered car and the video speed was definitely increased, no small nitro engine can turn that kind of RPM. Don't get me wrong that car would be fast just not as fast as the video, the video speed was slowly adjusted back down for the clapping at the end...

If you look at ol stars ´n stripes it is flapping in the wind as a usual flag so i really dont think this is .. why should one it... Just realise ppl have to much time on their hands and actually do stuff like this.. and we want to see it =) Great post!

RC GUY... you obviously have as much brains as you got experience with nitro engines. a nitro engine can rev over 40.000 RPM.. I know it because I fly planes and drive nitro cars myself. The "bird" is not a bird, its a butterfly flying very close to the camera. Remember, just because you might be a retard doesnt mean videos of people doing "impossible" stuff to be ... just try to realise the world is a bit bigger than your own mind.

how does it remain in contact with the ground? wouldn't the centrifugal force tend to pull it outwards somewhat? reduce the downward force holding it to the ground?

its using centrifugal(spelling) force to make its momentum, and for those of you who call it ... just ignore them, i have seen thesse myself and yess it goes over 200MPH, i have a nitros car and have hit 55 with it. thesse are designed for one thing, to go fast on a circle track, and it uses aerodynamics to hold it down.

Added comment, I am the 1992 US High Point Champion RC Nitro Boater and one of my boats is approx. 22 inches long with a 3.5cc motor and averages over 77mph on a 6 lap/1mile oval course. The speed of the car looks alot greater as it's running on that tiny track.
