In sweden we have little, if any censorship (thank god). I believe as many others that the responsibility for raising children lies on the parents and not the authorities.
And I really do wonder why the word F_U_C_K and some naked skin is so bad? Why is it okay to show really violent videos and films but not to show nudity or people cursing?

Moa, it's just a skit they do where they bleep certain words in random clips to make it sound like the people are swearing and saying lude things.

Not really that creative. I used to do that as a kid to my cousins with a Simon handheld game. It got old after a while, though. Honestly, I don't see everyone's deal with censorship. Either we burn people at the stake for censoring, or we burn others at the stake for NOT censoring. Why not just accept that some channels do and some channels don't? Not to mention the little rating thing, where they bleep things out to keep in somefunny bits, without changing their target audience in the process. The BBC seems like it does pretty well with it, too. Austrailia has some issues, though.

The Americans censor shows like "Jackass". Like a typical Jackass viewer might be offended by seeing a dick or bumhole! Instead of a bleep, silence works much better. (A piece of advice from a former video editor)

They censor random words for fun, as in one clip a older guy says something like "i like hugging children" and when censored its "i like ***ing children" Its called unnecessary censorship for a reason.

in norway you can see boobs in commercials and tv shows (sex and the city for example) and theres no verbal censorship. However, its not allowed to make porn where you see genitals, ie penis and vagina, in action. USA is the exact oposite. Odd stuff
