That was actually pretty interesting

Very interesting... great storyline for such a primitive form of film, and very well animated. I was surprised about how much they did with only a box of matches :)

Kind of hard to follow, bu I give it props for how hard it probably was to make.

I'll stay neutral on this one..No thumbs up or down I had mixed feeling on this video.

Nice animation and idea. I think they could've done more with so many people (God, look at the credits! haha), but for the time(1983) they did well. It really caught my attention and for a while there, I was rooting for the blue team, seeing as they were the underdogs. Then I felt sorry for all the burning matches and I hated the blue one at the beginning for tampering with the border. As far as I'm concerned, the video did its job well. ^_^ Nice find...uhh....whoever.

I agree; it was a great video.

well, soviet russia has long been as source of great odd ball film... (see tarkovsky's Stalker and Solaris, etc) .... i hope none of the dozens of people who worked on this ended up in a Siberian Gulag. I can say that this was easily the best film i've ever seen staring entirely matches. Which, i guess given the state of Soviet Russia in the early 80's, was probably all they had left to animate.

Good but sad!

Oldie, but goodie. Reminds me of all the claymation I used to watch growing up. But with matches, it's equally awesome. And the concept is still inspirational.

deputydink, you underestimate Russia! I'm just joking. I liked this video a lot. I can't speak russian, but I know the Alphabet. the second word on the show sounds like konfa-eekt, which I'm guessing means conflict.

Quite good, but they made it all look like it was blue's fault. They should have had green do the first kill instead of blue, so the lesson would be more "don't let things escalate" instead of "don't fight back".

Vilxan, the fifth letter is not “A”, it's “L”, or „Л“, although script-like. So you've guessed right. :-)
