This is hilarious! He looks a bit like Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson's voice actor)

So funny my front fell off, but it was made of cardboard, so I should have expected that. There was nothing there so thats o.k.
eruenion - August 15, 2007, 11:17
Is this a real newsclip, or just something out of a comedy show? I can't really tell.
zerat (guest) - August 15, 2007, 12:37

blindgaenger - August 15, 2007, 14:01
eruenion: it's a sketch by the political comedy duo Clarke and Dawe
they sound exactly like (guest) - August 15, 2007, 17:53
the Flight of the Conchords (even more like their manager, Murray)
SEALbasher (guest) - August 16, 2007, 11:34

Q: Senator Cole, why did the front fal off?
A: Well, a wave hit it.
Q: A wave hit it?!

If you want more of these two check out the tv show "The Games". It is about these guys organizing the Sydney Olympics. It was on leading up to the event and it was very VERY funny to watch them pay out on the mistakes of the real organizers.

their is no way this is real
JoHooH - August 25, 2007, 12:40
LOL! best video in a long time XD "There's nothing out there, it's just sea, fish and birds... AND 20,000 tons of crude oil... AND a fire... AND the part of the ship that the front fell off." LOL!! shitty guy that is XDDD
Slasher (guest) - August 26, 2007, 00:08
Really good. Reminds me of Monty Python sketches
Krille (guest) - August 26, 2007, 17:43

I was laughing so hard i almost threw up from watching this video, hahaha! i just have to know, was this sincere, like a honest interview or was it just a joke?
casper911ca (guest) - October 18, 2007, 02:25
I love how fluid this conversation is.
Tony (guest) - October 18, 2007, 09:10
Christ, this is life imitating art. Kinda reminds me of Monty Python.
gargle (guest) - October 26, 2007, 05:51
fooking crazed australians. must be why they make them live on the bottom of the world like that.
Mark (guest) - October 26, 2007, 09:49
These two guys regularly appear on Australian television sending up recent events. A segment like this is often at the end of a current affairs TV show. The guy who plays the senator plays whoever is necessary and the other guy is always the interviewer.
HoodedClaw (guest) - November 5, 2007, 11:40
Fantastic stuff. John Bird and John Fortune do much the same kind of deadpan political satire and irony on UK TV - beautifully written and deliciously scathing. Great clip. :-) (If you don't do irony you won't get this clip ..!!)
zaak (guest) - November 5, 2007, 12:41
my new hero xD
Charlie K (guest) - November 6, 2007, 17:35
I'm not sure which is funnier... this clip, or the people who wonder if it's 'for real'.
SayBlade (guest) - November 13, 2007, 04:14
I thought these guys were especially funny in The Games with the unflappable Gina Riley!
Erik Nielsen (guest) - February 1, 2008, 11:22
This is one of the best I have seen - ha ha - super - and he look like all is normal.
cjsmcsa (guest) - December 9, 2008, 18:15
I first thought it was real until I realized that Politicians couldn't be this talented. Almost as good as Bud Abbot and Lou Costello's 'Who's on First'
anonymus (guest) - February 28, 2009, 23:10
at first glance i thought it was real, since politics are stupid enough to talk like that... though after another view i noticed how the "senator" is "over persuasive" about the situation
neville (guest) - May 20, 2009, 11:42
